Registration fee includes “Get-Active Atlanta” 8-Week Training, 5K Run/Walk, commemorative T-Shirt, race day refreshments, entertainment and lots of fun! 

Online Registration will open May 1, 2010.

Registration and Race Number Pickup Options

$25 per person through August 16, 2010 5 PM
$30 per person August 16, 5 PM - September 15, 2010 2 PM
No race day registration, please.

Bib numbers may be picked up at Phidippides Ansley Mall, Phidippides Sandy Springs, or may be returned via FedEx. (You may enclose your company’s FedEx account number or preprinted airbill or you may include an extra $20 in your check or credit card charge.)

1. Online Registration (May 1 - September 15, 2010)
a. Team Captain - first sign up your company.  Choose how you'd like to get the numbers (FedEx or pickup at Phidippides Ansley /Phidippides Sandy Springs
b. Individuals sign up, choosing their company from the provided list, or sign up as an individual without a company team.
c. Company tents may also be ordered online by captain at any time.

2. Registration through the mail
Registration by mail must be received by September 4, 2010. Mailing address:  Kaiser Permanente Corporate Run/Walk, c/o Galloway Productions, 4651 Roswell Road, I-802, Atlanta, GA  30342.  Checks should be made payable to Kaiser Permanente Corporate Run/Walk. VISA, MasterCard and American Express accepted.

3. In-person Late Registration at Phidippides

Who Can Participate?

All are welcome, from walkers, to joggers, to runners, to Elite Runners (see below). Get your co-workers involved, as well as your family, friends, and neighbors!

The information you provide will be kept confidential unless you indicate on the form that you are willing to share your story through media interviews and other public venues. Don’t be modest – your story could inspire someone else to take steps towards leading a healthier, more active lifestyle.

Eligibility for Corporate Awards

A company team may enter an unlimited number of runners, joggers and walkers and will be eligible for corporate team awards. Family members and friends as well as those under 18 may participate and will count toward the Overall Participation Award but are not eligible for team awards.  All award winners must be 18 years old or over.


Elite Runners

Runners who have official race results by the standards below are encouraged to submit their 2009-2010 5K or 10K official race results by Friday, September 3, in order to receive a special race number which gives them upfront entry into the Elite Runner section. Race documentation emailed to info@jeffgalloway.com or faxed to 404-252-3971.
Open Men – 6:00/mile, Open Women – 7:00/mile. Masters Men (40 and over) – 6:15/mile, Masters Women (40 and over) – 7:15/mile.


Seeded Section

This section will be set up immediately behind the Elite Runner Area. Team captains are responsible for giving a special ticket to any runner who expects to run 7:00 or faster per mile; no race documentation is necessary. Arrive early for the best position. Captains should mark the number of seeded tickets needed when they register the team.  For extra tickets, come to the Information Tent.


Walkers

Watch for signs to Walker Start Lineup. For the safety of all participants, we will follow traditional running etiquette at the start with all walkers starting behind the runners. On the course, walkers should stay to the right and follow instructions of race officials.


CEOs

We have two categories for CEOs: <30 full-time employees and 30+ full-time employees. Awards will be given for the fastest male and female CEOs for companies with <30 employees as well as 30+ employees.

"Phidippides CEO Challenge"
Phidippides will reward the CEO with the highest percentage of Atlanta-area employees participating in the September 10 Corporate 5K Run/Walk. There will be two categories: <30 employees and 30+ employees. The two winners will receive $100 gift cards from Phidippides to use for themselves or for their teams.

Verified CEOs will receive specially marked bib numbers and may start in the CEO Start Area up front. The CEO finish chute will be on the far left at the Finish Line.

If a company CEO is participating and would like to compete against the other CEOs, a CEO Scorecard must be filled out and turned in to the Info/Results Tent after the 5K in order to be listed in event results. To qualify:

- A CEO must be the senior full-time employee of the entire company (i.e., President/CEO, Chairman of the Board).
- A CEO may only compete if he/she is also a part of a full team competing in the race.
